Maliksi scored 18 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and he also had 5 assists. Considering that he is just a new member of the team, he's still adjusting to the system of Coach Tim Cone. Yet, he's already doing great for his new team. The San Mig Coffee Mixers Fans may want him to be a permanent member of this club if he would be able to maintain his explosiveness on the court.
Another player who can contribute in terms of scoring and defense is Mark Barroca. Barroca had a bad start in this tournament who averaged 4.6 points per game in their first five games, but in their last 3 games, Barroca had found a way to get his game going.
He averaged 12.33 points in their last 3 games. This means that lots of player in the San Mig Coffee roster are having the confidence to score. This will make San Mig's offense more dangerous and a big threat for other teams. They've got the best defense and now, their offense is beginning to improve.
One more thing that will make this team the strongest among the others is their future draft pick. The mixers has the opportunity to get the 1st pick of the Drafts and probably, they will pick the 7 foot Center from the Ateneo De Manila University, Gregory Slaughter. This will make the Mixers' front line much stronger now. And because of that, expect the brand New "Sampayan Brigade" to dominate the inside next season.
P.S

you've painted a very rosy future for SMCM here.hope we don't encounter some chemistry problems.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment sir. Kaso pano naman po magkakaron ng chemistry problem kung si Slaughter lang ang ineexpect kong addition sa team?
